Despite the benefits of physical activity—enhancing heart and brain health, strengthening muscles and bones, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases—many Black girls remain inactive. This inactivity persists through high school and beyond, impacting their lifelong health and well-being. BLinG-Health aims to reverse this trend by making physical activity accessible, enjoyable, and culturally relevant. We offer free fitness training, mentoring, and classes to girls in high school. Your support helps in these areas along with providing stipends for our peer leaders.
$50 helps provide payment and snacks for one peer-led physical activity session.
$150 covers training materials for one junior group fitness leader.
$500 supports a full scholarship for one girl to receive our junior group fitness certification.
$1000 helps us develop new program materials and expand our reach to new communities.
Every dollar you donate goes directly towards our programming, which includes:
Offering students comprehensive group fitness training and leadership development at no cost.
Connecting girls with mentors who guide them in health, wellness, and professional development.
Creating opportunities in health and physical activity fields where Black women are currently underrepresented.
